Phnom Penh-Changsha to Form Sister Cities

[AKP]

Phnom Penh, the capital city of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and Changsha city of Hunan province of the People’s Republic of China have become sister cities recently.

The Letter of Intent to form an official sister city relationship has been signed by H.E. Kep Chutema, Governor of Phnom Penh and H.E. Zhang Jianfei, Mayor of Changsha city, during a visit to China last week.

Speaking on that occasion, Phnom Penh Governor H.E. Kep Chutema was convinced that the relationship established at this time would be a great opportunity for both cities to promote cooperation, and a fundamental basis to strengthen the relationship between Cambodia and China. He had also invited H.E. Major of Changsha to pay his first visit to Phnom Penh as planned to sign on the Memorandum of Understanding during that time.
