The Kingdom will participate in the International Travel Expo 2011, to
be held in Ho Chi Minh from September 13 to 17. The event will also host
delegates from Vietnam, Lao and Myanmar. Cambodian Secretary of State
at the Ministry of Tourism So Mara said that he expects the expo to
increase tourism in the Kingdom. “The tourism sector has the potential
to boost our GDP, so we must promote it to enhance the Cambodian
economy.” In excess of 1,500 international travel agents are expected to
attend.
