With so many beaches in Asia, it can be difficult to choose. If you enjoy snorkeling in clear waters or scuba diving then the Maldives is a good bet. However if, you prefer waves for surfing or water sports, then Indonesia might be a better option. This boutique resort in Cambodia’s rustic south coast has modern villas with terraces that overlook a gorgeous, private beach. Back in the colonial days, the beaches of Kep-sur-Mer were a favourite haunt of the French and high society Cambodians and this romantic spirit of the past is still alive here today. Driftwood furniture, Khmer style beds on wooden platforms, an infinity pool and lush tropical foliage make it easy to lounge around in the sun all day. With only 11 rooms and a bar for guests only, the atmospheres here is very intimate but the downside is that the beach itself is a little scruffy.
