[PHNOM PENH POST]
Some of Phnom Penh's coffee shop and eatery stalwarts say they are
facing strong challenges from a rash of newer stores setting up. Srey
Pick, owner of Herb Café in Chamkarmon district, said yesterday her
shop’s sales had declined sharply in the previous six months with more
intense competition. 'I am worried – my sales have declined by 50
percent,' she said, adding her shop targeted foreigners. King Kim Srean,
owner of Phnom Penh’s Sentiment cafes, said his three branches had seen
a 40-percent decline so far this year.
