Song Saa Private Island, the first luxury private island development to be completed in Cambodia’s pristine Koh Rong Archipelago will be holding a private launch for the remaining over-water and beach villas at the Sky Lounge, The Upper House, Hong Kong on 7th April.

Song Saa has received unprecedented response since the off plan launch of the first phase villas in Phuket in 2009 which attracted buyers from a globally truly diverse mix of investors from the UK, Japan, Hong Kong, Norway and France.  The project has made substantial progress, with construction commencing in March 2010 and is on schedule to open this year. The first three mock-up villas were recently completed in January, marking a key milestone for Song Saa.

Setting a new benchmark for eco-friendly luxury resorts, Song Saa Private Island will feature 27 rainforest, beach and over-water villas, each with private pools with sizes ranging from 135 sq.m. to 297 sq.m. At the heart of the resort will be an over-water restaurant and lounge, positioned just off the island’s shoreline and surrounded by ocean. Other resort facilities include an infinity edged pool, gym, spa & wellness centre, yoga & meditation centre and a beachside water sports centre offering a range of activities such as sailing, diving, kayaking and snorkelling.

Six one-bed over-water villas were launched at the beginning of the year. Three have already been snapped up. A final phase of seven beach villas will be released in Hong Kong at the launch. Priced at USD 600,000 all villas offer an 8% guaranteed yield for five years.

Adopting a ‘Rustic Chic’ design, the resort inspired by Cambodian fishing villages features over-water buildings, thatch roofs, use of rough-hewn natural timbers and drift wood, while offering first class amenities and services on a par with the World’s leading resorts.
The villas offer the opportunity to acquire a truly unique piece of real estate. Song Saa Private Island is the first and only development in Southeast Asia to offer over-water villas for private ownership on 99-year leases. Offering an experience comparable to the Maldives, yet conveniently located at the doorstep of Hong Kong short hop, the island is accessible by seaplane flight from Siem Reap or Phnom Penh, where 2 daily flights will be operated by the resort.
